Indoor Party hire, Isle Of Wight

We’ve now been hiring to halls across the Island since 2013 and have a superior knowledge of the venues and their facilities that is unrivalled. Between the end of September and the beginning of April is the main indoor party season although indoor hire is available throughout the year and suits lots of people over a garden hire option for lots of reasons.

Why hire a venue for your party?

Hall hire is in lots of ways a lot easier than doing things from home but also sometimes it can come down to setup space in the garden. In years past we’ve had customers with acres of land but not a single space big enough or suitable enough for placing an inflatable. So a hired venue is ideal and here on the Island we are spoilt for choice with about 150 venues to choose from. Some of those aren’t really suitable for much due to location, size, facilities etc but there are around 120 that are. It starts getting less the bigger your guest list gets and can range in price from free (yes free) to hundreds of pounds, but the majority are around the £10-£15 per hour mark which is about right.

Why choose us?

Well apart from the fact we have a wealth of experience of the halls we also make sure your party is the safest and best it can be. Did you know that for indoor hires crash mats are required under BSEN14960:2013 to be 1.2m deep from the edge of the castle as opposed to standard outdoor crash mats which are around 0.9m and that they should cover any step off area around a castle. This is both in line with health and safety standards that have been in place since 2006 and it also allows users a safe step off area so that in the event they fall off awkwardly they don’t meet a hard floor or surface. It’s very important, especially for young children. For this same reason you’ll also notice we don’t allow the step of a castle to be within 1.2m of a wall.

Sound Reducing Acoustic Hoods

In addition for indoor parties, and for the last 5 years or so we have been using noise reducing acoustic hoods on our blowers. Blowers are required for constant airflow operation so are necessary to keep a bouncy castle inflated but they run at a level of about 81db at 1m distance and 73db at 5 meters. Being placed at the back of the castle helps isolate the sound but it can be quite a lot at first for young ears who aren’t quite used to that kind of sound. Our acoustic hoods reduce that sound by about 8db in both instances. That might not sound like a lot but this is the top, high end of the noise level and so it makes a sizeable difference. Where possible for indoor hires we will always use acoustic hoods. Limited stock is available and priority is given to toddler parties and children with autism and extra sensory needs.

Making sure you have enough to entertain your guests

When planning your indoor party it’s important to think about how much equipment you’ve hired v’s the amount of guest users you’ve invited v’s the amount of space the hall has to offer. It’s very easy to get carried away and invite the whole class which can mean up to 30 children but most bouncy castles can accommodate around 7 users at a time, with a slide castle you’ll get a better rotation of children as they come off the slide and get back on again. The best solution is Add-Ons. One of our most popular indoor party add-ons are Didi Cars, kids and grown ups love them! Our cars can take up to 18 stone, yes you did read that right, so are suitable for most adults to have a go too. Assuming they get a chance of course as there is never one spare. We can even offer complete Didi Car parties with our inflatable 20ft by 20ft Racetrack.

Ball Pools

Our ball pools are all made bespoke for us and to a certain high standard that we require. All of our inflatable and non-inflatable ball pools are of a commercial quality with commercial quality ball pool balls included. In addition we go one step further and our ball pools are also designed to have built in crash mat flooring so that in the event an ambitious child decides to dive headfirst into a ball pool they will always meet a cushioned floor before the hard surface of the floor. In most cases halls floors are made of wood which is designed to be hard to withstand heavy footfall but there are also a few that are concrete. We also only buy inflatable ball pools with high backs to stop children being able to climb over the back wall and find a metal blower the other side, although they would likely only find one of our acoustic hoods covering the blower instead it's still reassuring to know the prevention is there, just in case. You'll also notice our ball pools come with air jugglers for hovering balls magically in mid-air. This is great for kids who believe in magic but adults have also been known to race either side of a ball pool by transferring balls from one cone to the next in a race from one end to the other. Great fun!

Games

As well as everything above we also offer a selection of games add-ons starting from just £10! Games offer children the chance to interact in a variety of different ways which is a great way to break down social barriers and develop interpersonal skills. Some games are better suited to different age groups so it's best to enquire when booking which games might best suit your unique guest profile.

Face Painting & Balloons

A great option for indoor parties as well as outdoor parties but face paint can permanently stain a castle so we just need to check a few things before we can allow face paints to be used at one of our parties. We have to be strict on this because if done without proper checks then you, the customer, becomes liable for cleaning or even a replacement castle. Luckily, we know what we are doing and so as long as we follow the rules then there isn't a problem and it's a great addition to have at any party. Make sure to let us know when you book but we will ask you anyway.

Balloons can make a massive difference to your party or event creating features, place settings, balloon drops, feature walls, entrances or as below a cake table like no other. For children's parties our balloon twisters can create balloon twist creations on request to the theme of your party. There's nothing that our talented balloon twisters can't make for you. Your only limit is imagination.
